Long-term Tillage Alters Soil Properties and Rhizosphere Bacterial Community in Lime Concretion Black Soil under Winter Wheat–Summer Maize Double-Cropping System

چکیده

Tillage practices can directly affect soil quality, influencing properties, crop growth, and microbial community characteristics. However, the influence of long-term tillage on rhizosphere bacterial in lime concretion black remains largely unknown. In this study, effects nine-year rotary (RT), no-tillage (NT), subsoiling (ST), plow (PT) chemical structure, correlations between communities properties maize were investigated. The results revealed that yield ST PT was higher by 10.61% 10.26% than RT 10.25% 9.90% NT, respectively. organic matter (SOM) total nitrogen (TN) contents NT significantly those PT, whereas available phosphorus (AP) content RT. diversity richness exhibited a trend > ST. principal component analysis differed among treatments. Linear discriminant effect size (LEfSe) demonstrated Proteobacteria, Armatimonadetes, Verrucomicrobia, Chloroflexi could serve as crucial biomarkers. Phylogenetic investigation reconstruction unobserved states (PICRUSt) genes involved carbon, lipid, xenobiotic metabolism enriched under carbon fixation NT. Besides, Armatimonadetes positively associated with AP levels negatively pH; however, Acidobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Planctomycetes an opposite trend. Overall, improved environmental suitability increasing keystone taxa; thus, these yield. These findings enhance our understanding functional for winter wheat–summer double-cropping system.

Dryland soil chemical properties and crop yields affected by long-term tillage and cropping sequence

Information on the effect of long-term management on soil nutrients and chemical properties is scanty. We examined the 30-year effect of tillage frequency and cropping sequence combination on dryland soil Olsen-P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, SO4-S, and Zn concentrations, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and cation exchange capacity (CEC) at the 0-120 cm depth and annualized crop yield in the northern Great...

No-tillage increases soil profile carbon and nitrogen under long-term rainfed cropping systems

Emphasis and interest in carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) storage (sequestration) in soils has greatly increased in the last few years, especially C with its’ potential to help alleviate or offset some of the negative effects of the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Several questions still exist with regard to what management practices optimize C storage in the soil profile. A long-ter...

Changes in soil microbial community structure with tillage under long-term wheat-fallow management

Fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) were used to `®ngerprint' soil microbial communities that evolved during 25 years of wheat-fallow cropping following native mixed prairie sod at Sidney, Nebraska, USA. Total ester-linked FAMEs (EL-FAMEs) and phospholipid-linked FAMEs (PL-FAMEs) were compared for their ability to discriminate between plots remaining in sod and those cropped to wheat or left fallo...
